Aten7, also known as A⁷, is a science-fiction world and game system created by Sylvan and developed through his company, Ælfheim. It was built from the ground up to work as both a tabletop RPG and a video game.
The tabletop RPG, A⁷: A Roleplaying Game About Complexity and Emergence, was funded on Kickstarter in early 2026. The companion video game, A⁷: Gateway Guardians, is on Steam.
The world explores emergence, biomimetic technology and the relationship between people and AI, and the game rewards genuine reasoning, with STEM learning built into play. Its machine-learning features are not generative AI, and the project is built on trust and fair pay for creators.
This is the one I’ve been building towards for a long time. Every world I made as a kid was practice for this.
