The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey

During a short engagement at Weta to help finish off The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Sylvan was involved in the lighting for the Erebor attack sequence featured in the film's prologue. His focus was on contributing to the scene's lighting and working alongside the team during the final stage of the movie's production.

Sylvan's role, though brief, allowed him to apply his lighting skills to a key part of the film. As someone who has great love for the LOTR book, and all of Tolkien's work, the experience at Weta provided an opportunity to collaborate on a project that he felt a particular affinity for. The crew, as always in the mad-capped pushes towards the finish, were lovely.
